"G'Day, my name is Yakini which in Swahili means Truth.
I was born in Melbourne, Australia. My father's name is Motaba, and my mum's name is Yuska."

Because of complications (Yakini was in a breach position), he was delivered by caesarian section by a team of doctors and nurses from the Royal Women's Hospital, and Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne. He is an African Western Lowland Gorilla, and at birth weighed 2.6kg. By the time he is 8 years old, he should weigh around 70kg, and by the age of 12 should weigh twice that.
