The weather is fantastic - it ranges between 17 and 31 degrees celsius all year round! E also have a saying in Queensland about the weather here -

"Beautiful One Day - Perfect the Next"

This pic is taken from Wongaling Beach on the mainland overlooking Dunk Island.
It is the most tropical of all the islands.
The bits of red you can see on the sand is leaf fall from Indian Almond Trees which has an edible fruit which tastes very much like the common variety of almond. These trees are on almost all of the islands in the Great Barrier Region.
Rainforests and Jungle
Most of the island has been declared national parks and on the western side of the island, there are over 14kms of excellently maintained walking tracks.
The Resort
It's nestled between the coconut trees and palms, and although it isn't super-flashy, it has everything you could want.

. . . for example, somewhere to sit with a cool drink.

Everyday, large motorised catamarans visit the island and take visitors to the outer reef for snorkelling and diving.

I never say no to a simple fishing trip (there are always plenty of fish biting here).
