The Great Barrier Reef is officially one of the "Wonders of the World"
The highlight of the trips there for me are always the snorkelling. A lot of people also dive, but I find that I get to see enough of what I want by just going a short distance under the water. It's just amazing. I took bread with me, and was surrounded by fish of all sizes and colors coming right up close to my face and taking the bread from my hands.
Beaver Cay
This is a short distance from the island and people come here to snorkel. You can snorkel off the beaches off all the islands and see some colored fish, etc, but from the Cays, it is unbelievably spectacular.
Papilio Ulysses Butterfly
This has been adopted as the island's emblem.
Walking along the beaches, especially at sunset - there's nothing quite like it!
This pic is taken very close to where the Banfield's lived.
As well as horse-you can play golf, go canooing, kyaking, sailing or even target shooting.
Did I remember to mention it's a very romantic place!
